We had a great firing, finally was able to unload the kiln. There were many happy surprises. Im going to pack a bunch of pots from this firing to be in the Larkin Booth at NCECA. Please come and see the pots my photos dont do then justice

I know this design has been used many times, but can you explain how these fire(the flame path)? It seems like, from the firebox, the flame will hit at least 3 different 90 degree angles. doesn’t it seem like the arch should be used for the flame path and the body should be flipped 90 degrees clockwise(on the plane of the floor)? wouldn’t that be more efficient?
